You can have vote on it by clicking here But here is the place to talk about it. Judging by the letters in the mercury you have a lot say about this but lets not just talk about the gateway what about the rest of the development I think it looks great.

Absolute waste of time and money, it will need redoing any day now.
An expensive rumble strip it certainly is.

Looks like someone has found a use for it. Thats what happens when you dont paint yellow lines on it, I thought it was common sense not to narrow the road and make it dangerous to turn into the slip road, apparently not.

Yes but the roadworks were an excellent way to aggravate the tourists over the bank holiday weekends this year!

Well it will soon be all over but I just wanted to add this information. This town boundary designation was not chosen by the council it was chosen by the organisation who gave the town the money to refurbish the rest of the town so no boundary markers no town development. Another little known fact...... You probably don't know that one brave person stuck his future on the line and said no to two other 'boundary markers' that were going to be built in Newgate and down The Bank, without his efforts there would have been 3 of these things to moan about. I think he deserves commending for this. Finally it has been quite the talking point for a while now but simply put no rumble strip no town regeneration and I think what has been accomplished has been great for the town and a couple of years of dodgy blocks in the road has been a small price to pay. You of course may disagree with me
